Maxi Construction employees get active for Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week, hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, took place from 18th – 24th May 2020. With kindness being the theme this year, Maxi Construction decided to carry out and reflect on acts of kindness.

We set our employees a challenge to collectively cover a distance of 250km during Mental Health Awareness Week through walking, running, and cycling. We are delighted to say that they have surpassed that target by collectively covering an impressive 724.6km! Due to their efforts, Maxi Construction will donate £250 to the Mental Health Foundation charity on their behalf.

In addition to this, we were also proud to hear that our employees have been shopping for the vulnerable, delivering hot meals to the elderly, registering as volunteers, and taking up new exercise regimes during these difficult times.

We know that Mental health problems can affect anyone and we realise that it’s vital to promote conversations around mental health and encourage acts of kindness, not just today but every day of the year.
