Renovation works progressing well at Haddington Corn Exchange
Renovation works at the Corn Exchange in Haddington have been progressing well since restart after site closure due to COVID-19. The historic venue was previously used by a variety of groups and was also a popular venue for live concerts, jumble sales and blood donation sessions.
Work has been completed to strip and re-slate the rear pitched roof, replace all rooflights, upgrade/renew M&E services, install a new commercial kitchen, renew the timber sports floor, and install a new ladies’ toilet. Next on programme is for the installation of new timber and vinyl floor coverings.
The project team includes East Lothian Council’s Strategic Asset and Capital Plan Management as Project Managers, Summers Inman as Contract Administrator & Principal Designer, Harley Haddow as Structural Engineer and RSP Consulting Engineers as M&E Consultant.
