Maxi Employee’s Mighty Hike for MacMillan Cancer Support
On Saturday 31st August, Maxi Construction’s Contracts Manager, Brian Ward walked 26 miles from Callander to Killin along the Rob Roy Way through the wild and beautiful Trossachs National Park in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.
Having witnessed the great work that MacMillan Cancer Support provide cancer patients and their families, Brian decided he wanted to take part in the Rob Roy Mighty Hike to raise funds for this fantastic Charity.
Due to flooding at Balquidder, the event was officially cancelled but that didn’t stop Brian and many other fundraisers carrying on with their mighty challenge. His team of 3 completed the hike in 11 hours – which included a well-deserved stop for a pie and pint around the 19 mile mark!
Many thanks to our employees, subcontractors and clients who sponsored Brian, he has managed to raise over £1100 so far. If you would like to contribute, please donate directly to Brian’s fundraising page on JustGiving. JustGiving sends donations straight to MacMillan Cancer Support so they can put your generosity to good use.
Well done, Brian!
