Maxi Construction appointed to deliver refurbishment works at Haddington Corn Exchange
Livingston based contractor Maxi Construction have been appointed by East Lothian Council to renovate the Grade B listed Corn Exchange in Haddington.
The Corn Exchange is used regularly by a variety of groups and is also a popular venue for live concerts, jumble sales and blood donation sessions.
This contract will see Maxi work with their supply chain to renovate the Corn Exchange building. Works will include the strip and re-slate of the rear pitched roof, the full replacement of all rooflights, alteration works involving the removal and erection of timber and metal partitions, the installation of a new commercial kitchen, the renewal of a timber sports floor, the installation of new ladies and accessible toilet areas, redecoration and new floor coverings.
The project team includes East Lothian Council’s Strategic Asset and Capital Plan Management as Project Managers, Summers Inman as Contract Administrator & Principal Designer, Harley Haddow as Structural Engineer and RSP Consulting Engineers as M&E Consultant.
