Maxi employees organise donation drive for School Uniform Banks

Maxi employees have decided to organise a donation drive for school uniform banks throughout Central Scotland in an effort to help ensure that as many children as possible go back to school in August with the necessary uniform and equipment.

A school uniform bank, similar to a food bank, provides essential items to those most in need and they rely heavily on donations from the public. With the pandemic, inflation and children arriving from Ukraine, the organisations have seen a vast increase in referrals over the past 12 months and unfortunately, are struggling to meet the demand.  They provide school uniform and equipment including cardigans, polo-shirts, jumpers and pinafores, jackets, shoes, school bags and PE items to 4 – 18 year olds living in hardship, who have been referred by schools, family support workers and other professionals.

If you would like to support us with our donation please contact our Business Support Coordinator, Lisa Aitken (t: 01506 442233 e: lisaaitken@maxiconstruction.co.uk).

To find out if there is a school uniform bank near you contact your local council.
