Pupils from Borestone Primary School help promote Safety in Construction

Maxi Construction are currently on site at Borestone Primary School delivering a £1.6m extension for Stirling Council.

Site Manager, Robert Faulds presented an assembly to highlight the dangers associated on construction sites. The children were then asked to participate in our safety poster competition based upon the information that had been presented to them.

The entries were exceptionally creative with a use of vibrant colours, excellent illustrations and valuable information relating to health and safety in construction. Maxi employees selected the top three designs from each class and awarded the creators with an experience on an excavator simulator, providing them with a true-to-life experience of sitting in the cab and operating the machine.

Contributing to Maxi Construction’s efforts to promote site safety we would like to thank all the children from Borestone Primary School who took part in our poster competition. It was a pleasure to work with the school on this project and the high quality of entries demonstrated that the pupils recognise the value of health and safety.

The winning designs are now displayed on a banner attached to the site perimeter.
