Summary: Roof and fabric repairs to operational primary school
Description of Works: The works comprised roof repairs and fabric repairs to a traditional primary school in Leith, Edinburgh which remained occupied throughout the works.
Works included:
- stripping and reslating existing roofs – total of 1000m2
- repairing existing felt roofs – total of 450m2
- renewing flashings and valley gutters
- replacing cast iron gutters and down pipes to all roofs
- replacing approximately 260 individual stones and repointing
- renewing render finish to external walls
Community Benefits:
- Construction safety awareness talk at school assembly
- We provided fully funded SSSTS and PASMA training to sub contractors involved with the project
- £50 cheque donated towards P7 camping trip
