Phases 3&4 Ogilvie School Campus

Summary: Phased refurbishment and extension to school campus

Description of Works:

Phased internal refurbishment and construction of two extensions at Ogilvie School Campus in Livingston, a school for primary and secondary pupils with significant social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Works included:

  • The construction of 2 extensions to the existing school to provide 3 new classrooms and a general purpose room. The extensions feature facing brick walls to blend in with existing colours and rainscreen cladding.
  • Internal refurbishment works throughout the majority of the existing school to provide new changing rooms, a soft play room, chill rooms, stores, support accommodation and refurbished/reconfigured toilets.  The external envelope received new windows and doors with ramped access via resin bound gravel paths to provide level access around and into the building
  • Refurbishment and fit-out works included:
    • Metal stud partition walls
    • Timber doorsets
    • Wall and ceiling lining
    • Acoustic wall lining and ceiling tiles
    • Suspended ceilings
    • Floor finishes including vinyl, sports flooring and carpet tiles
    • Mechanical and electrical installations including lighting, power, data installation, access control and alarm systems
    • Fixtures and fittings including a bespoke reception desk with glazed security screen, kitchen and toilet facilities and Nook pod seating booths.
  • External works included new play areas and a fully refurbished and remodelled car park.

Community Benefits:

  • Donation of dried food items in excess of £500 to local foodbank
  • Training for existing workforce
