Education projects

Description of Works: Window (curtain walling) and door replacements to a primary school. The works were delivered during the summer holiday period. Initial survey works were included outwith school hours prior to the start of work on site.

Works included:

• Downtakings and enabling works including windows, doors and roof junctions and suspended ceilings to allow access
• Supply and fit new Smyths Composites Fybacore GRP sandwich panels to 4 elevations, link corridor and main entrance
• Supply and fit new 24mm double glazed pane, Pilkington Optilam Clear Laminated 6.8mm (inner pane) and Pilkington Suncool 70/35 Pro T 6mm toughened (outer pane), Argon gas filled cavity 12mm thickness to 4 elevations and link corridor
• New metal frame stud partition wall between the staircase and link corridor
• External glazed double doorsets
• Roofing works including new felt flashings to upstands
• Installtion of 4 new extract fans which interfaced with the fire alarm
• Painterwork to staircase
