Summary: New community facility

Description of Works: Partial demolition of an existing building and construction of a 592m² single storey building providing reception, offices, meeting rooms, multi-purpose halls, kitchen, café, and toilet facilities.

Works included:

• demolition/downtakings
• asbestos removal
• groundworks
• substructure
• steel frame
• concrete floor slab
• timber roof structure clad with black profiled fibre cement roofing and featuring rooflights/velux windows
• external cavity walls featuring clay facing brickwork, timber framed panels, timber shutters and metal louvre
• UPVC windows and timber entrance doors
• curtain walling
• internal walls and partitions including acoustic operable walls
• glazed screens and doors
• floor finishes including battened wood floating floor, carpet tiles and vinyl
• wall and ceiling finishes including suspended ceilings and altro cladding
• painterwork
• mechanical and electrical installations including heating, power, photo voltaic installation, lighting, data, security systems, ventilation, CCTV, access control and interface with BMS
• fixtures and fittings including kitchen, staff  tea points, reception desk and toilet facilities
• external works including hard and soft landscaping, boundary walls, fencing and gates
