Education projects

Description of Works: Procured via Lot 1.1.4 of the Crown Commercial Service Construction Works & Associated Services Framework, this project was for alteration and fit-out works to 2 buildings within an operational college campus.

A new teaching facility, hair salon and dispensary was formed on the first floor of Building 5 and on the ground floor a new flexible learning space was created.

New teaching workspace with individual booths and storage was created on the first floor of Building 2 with two adjoining classroom spaces on the ground floor repurposed into a new joinery workshop.  A new breakout area featuring bi-fold doors was formed within the motor vehicle centre and new external doors were installed to allow access to the courtyard.

• Moveable partition walls
• Timber floor decking
• Suspended ceilings
• External doors
• Glazed screens and doors
• Fixtures and fittings including reception desk and glazed access hatch
• All associated internal finishes including joinerwork, flooring and decoration
• Mechanical & electrical works including plumberwork, lighting, power, data installation, alterations to heating, ventilation, interlinked smoke detectors
