Description of Works: Construction of a new 550m² steel-frame building within an operational sports complex. The building provides a boat storage area, gym, showers, toilets and office accommodation.

• Red brickwork and metal wall cladding
• Metal-clad roof system
• Roller shutter doors
• Remote control security roller shutters for windows and doors
• Internal partition walls
• Internal doors and screens
• Suspended ceilings
• Mechanical and electrical installations included power, lighting, external lighting, data, audio visual system, alarm systems including fire and intruder with ability for remote monitoring, heat pump and ventilation
• Fixtures and fittings included tea prep, shower and toilet facilities
• External works included the construction of new 15m wide steps connecting the building to the canal tow path, automatic sliding steel gates, security fencing and hardstanding

• Value Engineering exercise conducted post tender to enable budget to be achieved
• Buildability Design Review at post tender stage providing additional advice on detail solutions
• Boat racking installed by Client’s contractor during construction period
