Education projects

Description of Works:

This project was part of the Primary School & Early Years Bundle for Clackmannanshire Council delivered with hub East Central Scotland Limited.   Reconfiguration works to Alva Primary School involved the design and construction of a single storey extension to the operational primary school together with internal alterations.

Works included:

• Steel frame extension with flat roof, timber kit inner leaf with masonry outerleaf
• Glazed entrance screen
• New partition layouts
• M&E installations
• Formation of new reception area including reception desk
• Library fixtures and fittings
• Flooring including carpet tiles
• Painterwork

Community Benefits:

• We hosted a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event for local suppliers/sub contractors to attend
• We provided fully funded SSSTS and PASMA training to sub contractors involved with the project
• We upskilled our existing workforce involved in the project by providing fully funded SVQs in Construction Operations and IOSH Managing Safely training
