Mid Calder Community Set for Sports Facilities Boost

An old school building in Mid Calder is currently undergoing a £450k redevelopment to provide a community hub for sports and recreation.  The new facility is due to open in the summer.  Jim Walker, West Lothian Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Leisure commented "This is a significant piece of work and it is expected that it will help to increase participation rates in sport and physical activity as well as ensuring the long term future of the old school building.  When they are complete, the new changing facilities will be available for use by community groups in Mid Calder and the wider community."

Some members of the community groups set to benefit from the new facilities are pictured outside the old school building.
