Maxi appointed to Linlithgow Burgh Halls contract

Maxi Construction have been appointed by West Lothian Council to complete the postponed £5.2m redevelopment of Linlithgow Burgh Halls.  The project had stalled in June due to the previous building contractors, Hunter Clark, going into administration.

Provost Tom Kerr is delighted with the news.  He said "It is vitally important to the people of Linlithgow, and West Lothian as a whole, that the Burgh Halls are completed, as soon as possible.  We estimate that the new building will open early in the new year.  When the building is finished, it will provide a wonderful multi-purpose centre featuring heritage interpretation, visual arts and crafts, arts education programmes, events and activities."

John Aitchison, Managing Director of Maxi Construction, added: "We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with West Lothian Council in the provision of high quality leisure facilities for the benefit of local communities."
