Maxi Nets Contract for Football Facilities at Broxburn

Livingston-based contractor, Maxi Construction Limited, has been awarded the £1.7m contract for the construction of new changing facilities and clubroom at Albyn Park, Broxburn for West Lothian Council.

 The new building, designed by slorach wood architects, will provide changing accommodation, a club room, office space, a treatment room, laundry room and kitchen facilities.  The building will be of steel-frame construction and will feature larch timber cladding.  Funding partners in the project include: West Lothian Council, Sportscotland, Robertson Trust, Garnochy Trust, Proceeds of Crime Act (funding from Cashback for Communities scheme) and Broxburn United Sports Club.

A ground-breaking ceremony was recently held at the site to mark the start of the construction works.  This was attended by the Leader of West Lothian Council; Councillor Peter Johnston, Angela Constance MSP, West Lothian Councillor Jim Walker, together with committee, club members and guests of Broxburn Athletic and Broxburn United Football Clubs.
