Maxi Construction wins West Lothian Environmental Award 

Following tough competition among progressive organisations, Livingston-based contractor, Maxi Construction Limited were winners at the West Lothian Environmental Awards 2008.

The Awards were established 10 years ago to recognise and reward good environmental practices in the West Lothian business community. Maxi Construction won the medium-sized business category award for its effective environmental management procedures which promote sustainability through waste minimisation, resource efficiency and recycling programmes.

Maxi Construction's Managing Director, John Aitchison, commented that he is "delighted that the Company and employees have been recognised for their commitment to sustainable construction practices; efficient environmental management has benefited our profitability which is of immense importance in the current market."

John is pictured with the award, following the presentation by Robin Harper MSP, Green Party, at the recent ceremony at the Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel, Uphall.
