School Visits
Where sites are close to schools, visits take place to educate children of the dangers associated with building sites. Such talks have taken the form of either assembly presentations or specific classroom talks tailored to suit a particular lesson plan as part of the children’s school curriculum.

Construction skills
All of our operatives are registered and are progressing with SVQ Construction & Civil Engineering Services (Construction Operations) Level 2 Qualifications. This assessment process will provide our site team with further qualifications and helps us on our way towards 100% CSCS/ CPCS compliance.

Procedural
Although our current procedures are thorough, they are being constantly reviewed to ensure compliance with Legislative Standards and our own goals. In conjunction with our Health & Safety Consultant, Farrington Safety & Training Ltd, some improvements are being implemented which will result in the issue of an amended internal Health & Safety Manual by Autumn 2008.

Consultation
We have increased the frequency of our consultation meetings which involve representation from all disciplines within out business. As a result we have benefitted not only from minor improvements but also considerable enhancement of some significant procedures resulting from initiatives instigated at these meetings.
