Environmental Mission

At Maxi Construction we formulate an Environmental Plan for every construction site. This takes account of all environmental factors and produces strategies for undertaking the construction works in the most environmentally sound way. With regard to resource efficiency we aim to reduce wastage via bulk order monitoring and timed material deliveries and then re-use waste materials where possible. Any remaining waste is segregated on site and disposed of at relevant recycling facilities.

Regarding sustainable consumption and natural resource protection we procure materials from local sources where possible, use recycled aggregates and procure all of our timber from sustainable sources. To reduce energy consumption, we have recently installed low voltage lighting at our Head Office. Our site accommodation heating and lighting is powered down out of hours and our site accommodation and welfare set-ups are currently under review with the aim of reducing energy consumption by way of cistermisers and the use of recycled/rain water.

 
A number of our sites are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme which sets stringent targets for environmental management.
